Coaches may raise a visible substitution flag at any 10-second interval during the match (e.g. 2:50, 2:40, 2:30, etc.)
However, if a team has not yet used their substitution, the coach must raise the flag at the last 10-second mark of each minute — specifically at 2:50, 1:50, or 0:50, depending on when the substitution is needed
This ensures that the referee is always prepared to allow a substitution during those windows
The referee will briefly stop time only to allow a safe and controlled tag-in
Only one substitution is allowed per team, per match
Failure to raise the flag at the required time may forfeit the team's opportunity to substitute
Coaches may raise the substitution flag every 10 seconds (e.g., 2:50, 2:40, 2:30, etc.)
At minimum, flag must be raised at 2:50, 1:50, or 0:50 if the team hasn’t subbed yet
